Show Concert set by BYU organist A sensational young organist, organ-ist, Clay Christiansen of Morgan, Mor-gan, will play recital Friday (Nov. 10.) at 7:30 p.m. in the Provo Tabernacle. Only a freshman at Brigham Young University, Mr. Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, now 18, already has caught the attention of the American Guild Organists. He played at their regional convention con-vention last year when he was still in high school. He has appeared ap-peared in other recitals at BYU. His teacher, J. J. Keeler, university organist, said the public is welcome to attend free of charge. The young artist ar-tist will play works by Couper-in, Couper-in, Buxtehude, Bach, Schumann, Schu-mann, Mendelssohn, Peeters and Hindemith. Business next year will have to run harder just to keep up. Some prices will go up, but a variety of higher costs will pinch profits unless sales expand ex-pand substantially. That's the main message from top business bus-iness and financial executives all across the country who responded re-sponded to the latest Nation's Business Quarterly Outlook Survey of 1,000 business leaders. lead-ers. North Carolina readjusted state income taxes by changing chang-ing the exemptions. The net result is expected to be a $23 million reduction in revenues from income taxes next year and then $36 million in the following fol-lowing year. |
