Melvin Lemon (Marilyn llktr) cut their wedding cake at Mapleton reception. larilyn Barker recites vows A Melvin Lemon in temple I A pretty wedding reception of the late autumn season was that honoring Mr. and Mrs. I Melvin Lemon, held October 1 26, at Mapleton. They were j married the same day in the j Salt Lake Temple, j The bride is the former . Miss Marilyn Barker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Barker Bar-ker of Mapleton and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. William H. Lemon of Kamas. The couple is at home in Pleasant Grve, following a honeymoon to California. I For her wedding attire, the bride chose a lovely white de-j de-j lustered satin with long point-j point-j ed sleeves and lace applique j trim on the bodice and down the over-skirt, accented by I seed pearls. Her veil of illusion i was elbow-length and fell from a pill-box crown of lace and seed-pearls with tear-drop pearls in each' scallop. She I carried a bridal bouquet consisting con-sisting of a white orchid surrounded sur-rounded by white carnations and red baby rosebuds. Attending the bride were Katherine Barker, a sister; Kathy and Beverly Lemon and i Judy Barker. They wore red check street-length dresses trimmed in white and carried a wihte long-stemmed mum. Best man was William Lemon, Lem-on, Jr., brother of the groom. Mrs. Barker chose a biege linen for her daughter's wedding wed-ding and Mrs. Lemon, blue knit. Their corsages were red rose-buds. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ras-mussen Ras-mussen and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Barker. Reed Barker was usher. At the register were Marva Dibble and Margaret Lemon, while Faye Robinson and Kaye Nielsen were in the gift room. Serving was by Carol Mof-frit, Mof-frit, Jeanne Schmidt, Inez Stalworthy, Judy Kiefner and Shirley Adams. A beautiful 4-layer square wedding cake all in white with red-tipped roses and a miniature minia-ture bride and groom at the base, was topped with a tiny replica of a temple. Decorations were done by Mr and Mrs. Jav Barker of Payson, uncle and aunt of the bride. ' |
