Show State Officers visit Local OES Georgia B. Roach, Lois M. Ross, and Marguerite C. Butler, Past Grand Matrons, and William Ross, Gustin 0. Gooding and John Castagno, Past Grand Patrons, were welcomed by Mr. Gooding with Mrs. Roach responding. Florence and Walter Ray, Past Grand Matron and Past Grand Patron of the Nevada Order were introduced and welcomed by the Worthy Matron and Patron. Grand Representatives, Worthy Matrons and Worthy Patrons of Utah and Nevada, first time visitors and the "Trailers" of the Grand Officers, introduced themselves and were welcomed by Edith Kirtley and the Worthy Matron. Nancy McLaughlin responded. Twenty O.E.S. Utah Chapters and five Nevada Chapters were represented with 115 members presesnt in the Chapter room. Mrs. Denning chose "Electa, The Mother" as her message to the chapter. Mr. McLaughlin chose "Fidelity" and the Ritual as his theme. Both messages were most intersting. At their conclusion gifts were presented to them by Marjorie Reese and Arthur Thurston. Light refreshments were served following the meeting by Louise Hancock and her committee. Tables were artistically decorated with baskets of spring flowers. Preceeding the meeting 96 members and guests enjoyed en-joyed a buffet dinner at the Town & Country Restaurant. By Lelah Wilson Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star, met in special session Saturday evening, May 10, at the Masonic Temple to receive the Grand Officers of the Grand Chapter Order of the Easter Star of Utah. Chapter opened in regular form with Mrs. Doris Williams, worthy matron, and Robert Williams, worthy patron, presiding. The Grand Officers, escorted by the conductresses, con-ductresses, entered the Chapter room to "Hey, Look Me Over". Jewel Denning, Worthy Grand Matron, Salt Lake City, and J.C. McLaughlin, Worthy Grand Patron, Brigham City, were escorted and introduced by Conductresses Ann Aaron and Audrey Coe, and welcomed by the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron. The Associate Grand Officers Of-ficers were welcomed by Marie Endsley. A gracious response was given by Ruth Darrington, Grand Conductress. Con-ductress. Lyle A. McGee, Worthy Grand Patron of the Nevada Grand Chapter, was escorted, introduced and welcomed by the Worthy Patron. it Si tJ LJ LJ iul VJ ' I GRAND OPENING. The Cedar City Chamber of Commerce's Prospectors Club were on hand for the Grand Opening of the Country Cupboard Market and Ice Cream Shoppe and the Desert Pines Tire and Service Store located at 1001 South Main St. last week.
