Show Kanarraville by Car ma Williams Our town was saddened by the death of Bp. J. F. Williams, who died Monday May 12 at his home where he had been for the past three months suffering from cancer. He was survived by his wife Berta and son Joe, two brothers, Emerson and Dewight both from Las Vegas, NV. Three sisters, June Brown and Daphne Tra inner, Salt Lake City and Utahna Taylor, Las Vegas, NV. Funeral services was held Wed. at the Kanarra LDS Ward. Mrs. Vaughn Isom spent a couple of days in VVMC receiving medical care. Mr. James Lovell underwent un-derwent major surgery at WMC. He was in serious condition but is slowly improving. im-proving. Lynn and Ella Reeves enjoyed a visit from their two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Dpvnn Reeves, Cedar City and Evan Reeves, Provo. Evan sold his home in Provo and was on his way ' to Hawaii. His wife and two daughters will follow in two weeks. Mark and LuAnn Truman and family from Green River, Wyoming spent a few days here visiting their parents, Spencer and Herma Truman. Charlie and Marsha Leeder and children Cade Shad and Joan spent Friday night and Sat. in Las Vegas visiting with relatives and friends. Donna and Charlinda Munford spent four days in Salt Lake City where Charlinda went to apply for a school teaching job. Brothers Allen Smith, Darrell Fenn, Leon Reeves, took the Aaronic Priesthood on an overnight camping trip to Oak Grove Friday night and Saturday. Mrs. Sherry Jaggard and children from Semi-Valley, Calif, spent ten days here with her mother, Thelma Lovell and to be with her father James Lovell during his surgery. I'm happy to announce that Susan Bauer, daughter of Henry and Fern Bauer received a Departmental Scholarship to attend SUSC. Congratulations to Susan. Ronald and Joan Williams traveled to Salt Lake City on Wed. for Ronald to get a check up with his doctor. Lena Williams and son Stanley spent two weeks in northern Utah. Lena visited her son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Thais Williams and her daughter Darlene Wilkersen in Salt Lake City, and Stanley visited his son and '. family , Mr. and Mrs. Fred Williams of Dugway. Easton and La Von Blackburn Black-burn from St. George spent the weekend here working at their son Dwight Blackburns home. |
