Show State Bank Preparing New Sign philosophy," remarked Warren Bulloch, President of State Bank, "and the board of directors felt that the significant investment required for such a sign would be well worth It if we can further contribute to the growth and progress of this area. As the bank is situated in the center of town, we feel that the time we contribute on our sign for local civic groups and organizations to publicize their activities will be a great asset to local citizens." Final installation of the new message center is expected ex-pected before the end of March. Local residents are wondering what happened to the time.. .and the temperature. tem-perature. More accurately, they are wondering what has happened to State Bank of Southern Utah's time and temperature sign that has provided this unique service for many yars. For over a week now, the sign has been out of commission. "It's the beginning work for a whole new concept in service for the bank," says Eldon Schmutz, Cashier at State Bank. "While we regret that we've had to turn our sign off, it is necessary while the workmen start installation of an entirely new sign. When the work is completed, State Bank will have a modern, electronic information center." "In addition to providing the time and temperature, we will have an electronically elec-tronically controlled, two-line two-line message center that will form letters, numbers, designs and words in ever-changing ever-changing lights," Schmutz explains. The sign, the only two-line message center in this end of the state, will be programmed in advance with several different messages being continuously con-tinuously repeated. The sign will be stationary, but have both sides used for the messages. Schmutz in- dicates that the sign, in ! addition to giving the time and temperature, will be i used to help promote major events and activities in the area.
