Show Seals - Howe enter NAIA Tourney Heavyweight Keith Seals and 190-pounder Phil Howa will compete in the NAIA , National Wrestling Tournament Tour-nament March 6-8 at Hays, Kansas, for Southern Utah State College. Both placed last week in the tough Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference meet to cement their spots in the nationals. Howa ran his record to 9-5 with a second place finish. He earned his berth in the finals with a 12-3 decision over Paul Burgess of Adams State; he lost, 4-2 in overtime, over-time, to Cedric Graham, Fort Lewis, in the title match. Seals won three out of four matches in the RMAC meet at Grand Junction, Colorado, but came out only third. He dropped his second match of the meet to Bruce Tungent of Colorado Mines, but came back with two victories for his third place. Adams State captured its eighth consecutive conference con-ference championship by far outdistancing the league's other six wrestling schools. The Indians anassed 105 points. Trailing in order were Fort Lewis (61 "4), Mesa (46 3,4), Western State (36 V2), New Mexico Highlands (33), Colorado Mines (27 2) and SUSC (14 2. "We didn't do as well as I figured we should," a disappointed Coach Joe Lopour said after the RMAC meet. "Of course, we are proud of Howa and Seals for their accomplishments." Both Thunderbird wrestlers will be attending their second national tournament. Howa earned his way to the nationals his freshman year at SUSC, also in the 190-pound class.
