Show GUNLOCK Mrs. Lee V. Leavitt Reporter On Saturday evening, Jan. 20, the M. I. A. presented the operetta, "Windmills of Holland," with Mrs. Rena Cox accompanist. Those taking part were Ivan Hunt, Olive Holt, Joyce Neilson. Jewel Bowler, Bow-ler, Paul Leavitt, Wayne Leavitt, Marvin Jones, Elva Jones, Blythe Bowler, Stella Leavitt, Wilma Leavitt and Geraldine Leavitt, with Mrs. Ben Holt as director. Special numbers included a tap dance by Stella Leavitt and Blythe Bly-the Bowler, and solo, "The Miller's Mil-ler's Daughter" by Wilma Leavitt. A large crowd attended. A community com-munity dance followed. January 1 was celebrated here with horse races and rodeo events with a large crowd participating. J. C. Thompson has gone to Salt Lake City for pre-induction examination. Mrs. Thompson and their two sons are here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee V. Leavitt. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Abbott have returned to their home in Nevada after visiting with Mr. j and Mrs. Moroni Bowler. Miss Gertrude Jensen spent part of the holidays here visiting at the home of Bp. and Mrs. Henry Bowler. Mrs. Veva Emery spent Sunday here from Nevada visiting. On Friday evening the married folks of Gunlock had a party at the ward hall. Gifts were ex- changed and light refreshments served. Mr. and Mrs. John Houston and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Burgess were here from Mesquite Tuesday, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hunt. |
