Show Transient Prospector Dies In St. George Of Sudden Heart Attack U. Grant Ballinger, 85, transient prospector of Leon, Kansas, died of heart attack in St. George at 7:30 p.m. Monday Jan; 1. He was here to spend the winter as he has done for several years., and lived in a tent near the Premium Oil Station on U. S. highway 91. Crossing the street with two small pails of water before retiring, re-tiring, men at the station saw him sit to rest, and his apparent collapse. They called local officers, of-ficers, Patrolman L. A. Porter, Sheriff Antone B. Prince and Deputy L. Lee Adams responded. A brother, E. C. Ballinger was contacted by phone in Lincoln, Nebraska. Following his instructions, instruc-tions, Mr. Ballinger was buried in St. George, Wednesday, Jan. 4 under direction of the three local officers. He was known to be a quiet, inoffensive man and very religious. |
