Show Vonien's Clubs Hold Meetings and Parties Mrs. W. J. Rcichmnnn was hostess host-ess to the Dixie Reviewers at the L. D. S. Institute building on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 3, with Mrs. David Foremaster giving the review. She kept the group; in constant merriment with "My Family, Right or Wrong" by John Philip Sousa III, a' humorous story of family life. Lunch was served to 19 members and guests. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cannon was the setting for the annual holiday dinner party of the Athena club members and their partners Saturday evening. eve-ning. Hostesses were Mrs. W. W. McArthur, Mrs. J. T. Atkin, Mrs. Wm. Brooks, Mrs. Henry Pickett, Mrs. Donald Schmutz and Mrs. Cannon. Following the dinner, Rook was played with honors going to Mrs. Flora Brooks and M. L. McAllister. Alice Louise Reynolds club, chapter 11 held their January 3 meeting at the home of Mrs. Ralston Barber, with Mrs. Claw-son Claw-son Burgess as co-hostess. The program included a piano solo, "Malaguana" by DeLena McDonald McDon-ald and review of Hugh Herbert's play, "Kiss and Tell" by Mrs. Grant Whitehead. Lunch was served to 24 members and guests. |
