Show ENTERPRISE Mrs. Theresa Huntsman Reporter Mrs. Arthur Thomas underwent a goiter operation at the Iron county hospital Monday. Mrs. Thomas had been in Cedar City for several days before the operation oper-ation receiving treatments. Seaman Perry Pickering, who has served with the merchant marines for the past two years without furlough is at home for a short visit. Pres. Daniel J. Ronnow, Mrs. Stewart, Mrs. Mathews and Mr. Bettridge visited our Sunday school and spoke at our sacrament meeting last Sunday. Mrs. Thelma O'Connor and two children of Los Angeles are here at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Z. Alger. Mrs. O'Connor has been ill and will spend the summer here recuperating. recuperat-ing. A chicken supper honoring Stanley Adams was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Twitch-ell Twitch-ell Thursday evening. A large crowd of young people attended and a good time is reported. A farewell party was given Tuesday evening for David Hunt and Preston Robinson. The boys leave in a few days for induction into the Army. A good program, dancing and luncheon were enjoyed en-joyed by a large crowd of townspeople towns-people and some from neighboring towns. Mrs. Idona Mathias, who recently re-cently underwent a goiter operation oper-ation at the Iron county hospital has gone to Springville to visit with her sister and brother, Mr and Mrs. George Nelson. Mrs. George Warrens of Cedar-ville, Cedar-ville, Calif., is here visiting with" her children, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Huntsman. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Drexell are here visiting with Mrs. Drexell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. E Huntsman. They are enroute to Los Angeles from Salt Lake City, They will spend a week here visiting visit-ing and then spend a week with Mr. Drexell's people after which Mr. Drexell will be inducted into the Army. |
