Show Funeral Services Held for Simmons Baby Connselor Maiben Ashby of the west ward bishopric conducted the funeral services held in the south ward chapel Thursday, July 6, for Sandra Simmons, nine month old daughter of Lieut, (j.g.) and Margaret Mitchell Simmons. The building was filled with rela tives and friends and there was a profusion of floral offerings. Music numbers under direction of Miss Tillie Winsor included ovcal trios, "The Lord is My Shepherd" and All Through The Night" by Mrs. Ralph J. Lauper, Mrs. Allen Ruesch and Miss Blanche Bennett; solos, "Prayer Perfect " Marion Bowler, and "He Shall Feed His Flocks," by Mrs. Mack Jackson; violin solo, "Ave Maria," by Mrs. Ellis Everett. Mrs. Mae Pace presided at the pipe organ and accompanied the numbers. Speakers were Mrs. Roy Williams, Wil-liams, Bp. James Andrus and Patriarch A. K. Hafen, all of whom paid tribute to the parents and grandparents and offered words of consolation to them m their sorrow, especially to the infant's father who is on duty with the U. S. Naval air force in the Southwest Pacific. Prayers were by Pres. Harold S. Snow and Harold Cox and the grave in the St. George City cemetery was dedicated by W. v. Bentley. |
