Show NEW HARMONY Mrs. O. Hammond Reporter Albert E. Miller, Mrs. Kate Em-pey Em-pey and Miss Johnson of St. George were in New Harmony last Friday to issue war bonds. Mrs. Reed Prince returned last Thursday from Provo where she went for treatment on her eye. Had she delayed going one day longer, it might have necessitated having her eye removed. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Hall received re-ceived word Monday morning of the death of their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leo Hall of Cedar City. Mrs. Lucy Adair of Enterprise is visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edmund Hall. Albert Mathis returned home Sunday from Salt Lake City. He reports his brother John's operation oper-ation was a success and that he is getting well rapidly. Miss Colleen Hammond has returned re-turned to nurse's training school at Portland, Ore., after visiting with relatives here for 10 days. Mrs. Estella H. Brown motored to St. George Friday to visit a week with relatives. She was accompanied ac-companied by her nephew, Garry and Douglas Pearce. Mr. and Mrs. Mason Rancher and children, Lester Iverson and son. Beven and Mrs. Leona Hea-ton Hea-ton and children spent the Fourth of July fishing at Navajo lake. M. O. Woolspy received word last Wednesday of the death of his brother-in-law, Jess Holt of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hepworth and daughter of Earstow, Calif., were visiting relatives here Sat- urday and Sunday, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Orton. The 4-H club and their leader went for an outing over to Pine Valley. Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Huntsman and Mrs. L. W. Huntsman Hunts-man of Enterprise were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cannon Huntsman. Mrs. Sarah W. Smith of Cedar City is spending a few days visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Woolsey. Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Pace received a letter from their son, Preston, who is over In Italy.. It was written since the invasion and he said his division was on a rest period and that he was okeh so far. |
