Show Miss Janet Larson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Larson of Las Vegas, arrived Thursday to spend her vacation with her cousin, Mary Pendleton, and other relatives. or. j; Dr. and Mrs. P. E. Harris and daughter, Patsy, returned last Thursday from spending several days in Overton on business and visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Robertson and children. Mrs. Levi Atkin and sons, Kay and Milo, have returned home to Buttonwillow, Calif., after visiting for 10 days with relatives in St. George. Mrs. B. W. Clays "has returned to her home in Idaho, leaving her two children, Dixie and Lynn with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Hemenway, for the summer. sum-mer. Frank Prince came up from Boulder City to spend the week end with his family. 8 J. Lawrence Wadsworth left Tuesday for Salt Lake City on business. Mrs. Walter Cottam of Salt Lake City visited relatives and friends in Santa Clara and St. George over the week end. She was guest while here of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Frei of Santa Clara. Her husband, Dr. Walter Cottam of the University of Utah, came as far as Beaver, where he had an assignment of checking of the wild life situations situa-tions of that vicinity. w Mr. and Mrs. Martin L. McAl-listerd McAl-listerd left Sunday for a month's vacation in Mt. Pleasant, Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls with their children, Mr. and Mrs. John McAllister, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Whitehead and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis McAllister. -ic Mrs. Marion Nelson of Motoqua is visiting this week with her daughter, Mrs. Kent Bentley. Mrs. Reed Leigh is spending the week in Salt Lake City visiting her sister, Miss Dawn Andrus. She will be accompanied home by her mother, Mrs. A. B. Andrus, who has been visiting in Tacoma, Wash., with Capt. and Mrs. Calvert Cal-vert Andrus and baby, for the past three weeks. Mr. and Mrs.-Ralph Huntsman of St. George and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Waite and family of Las Vegas spent last week in Pine Valley, Mr. Huntsman did several oil paintings while there, to add to his collection. Mrs. A. W. Augason left Wednesday Wed-nesday evening for Long Beach, where she will visit for several days with her daughter, Mrs. Viva Putnam and children. -y. 'if W 'if Recent visitors at the home of Ephraim Foremaster were his son, Earl and wife, and their friends, Mr. and Mrs. C. Christy of Comp-ton, Comp-ton, Calif. Mrs. Ralph Brown of Astoria, Ore., is 'spending the week here as guest of her sister, Mrs. Anthony An-thony Foremaster and visiting two other sisters, Mrs. Clarence Webb and Mrs. Myron Jones. She spent Sunday and Monday with the Foremasters at their Cane Beds ranch. On Tuesday evening she was entertained at a campfire supper on Mt. Hope, Mr. and Mrs. Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Foremaster and families attending. Ot. Ji. .. "ri- -sr- Mr. and Mrs. George L. Woodbury Wood-bury and their friends, Mr. and Mrs. 'Clair Likes, all of Salt Lake City, spent Saturday over Tuesday in St. George visiting and on business. The Woodburys have many relatives in St. George. Miss Wilma Horsley is here from Las Vegas visiting for two weeks with her sister, Mrs. Art Rogers. Miss Beryl Napier returned Tuesday from a ten day vacation in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Pectol and sons have returned from visiting for ten days in Salina with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Christenson, parents of Mrs. Pectol. .V. -V- -W. -w- Post office employees and their guests enjoyed a pot-luck lunch on Mt. Hope last Saturday evening. eve-ning. Following the dinner the evening was spent visiting. A special spe-cial guest was Mrs. Belle Crand-all Crand-all of Springville, who is here visiting with her children. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Weibel and daughter Kathleen, returned last Thursday evening from Salt Lake City and Idaho where they had visited for two weeks with relatives. |
