Show CANE BEDS (JANE BEDS, Sept. IS. School began here last Monday with Mrs. Marie Harrigan of El Centro, Calif., as teacher. Mr. Harrigan came here but returned home Tuesday. Twenty-seven pupils were enrolled the first day with the prospect of several others entering in the near future. fu-ture. This is the largest number of students we have ever had in Cane Beds. , Mr. and Mrs. Orlin G. Colvin left Wednesday for Hatch where Mr. Colvin will teach school this winter. The test W'ell being sunk here is now down to a depth of about 600 feet. Mr. and Mrs. Ira H. Bradshaw and little son of Hurricane were visiting at the Wilkinson home Thursday. Mrs. Mina Hinton, Mrs. Ella Wittwer and James Judd, stake officers of Hurricane, were here last Sunday and organized a Primary in the ward. Chas. C. Cox and family have moved to Cane Beds and are building a new home. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Covington made a business trip to Hurricane Hurri-cane Tuesday. A children's dance was given here this afternoon. Henry Lovin, our superivor from Kingman, was here today on road business. |
