Show Jensen Gladys Peterson Phone 789-1945 Family visits while water calms Mr and Mrs. Grant Ainge invited his folks, the Nile Ainges, to stay with them for awhile until the water in Ashley Creek calms downs. The Fran Petersons, daughter Ann Crow and son and mother Mrs. Reve Ruppe, traveled to Pine Valley during the weekend to attend the James Simmons Sim-mons reunion. They met relatives there from California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Texas. While traveling, the family saw much destruction caused by flooding waters and mud slides. They visited the Bryce Canyon and St. George areas also. Wade Slaugh was sustained as a member of the new stake presidency that was formed over the weekend. Earl Gurr was called to the position of high councilman for the newly formed form-ed stake. It is a welcome sight each dawn to awaken to clear skies and warm summer sum-mer days after all the wind, rain and chilly weather we've had until just recently. The farmers in our area are beginning to cut and bale hay. Ashley Creek has been running over the back road bridge in Jensen and the residents are using the oilfield road to get back and forth to their residences. |
