Horses from throughout the state of Utah, Colorado and other states took part in the meet. Jet On Elvira, owned by Bill Critton and ridden by Mike Barter, pocketed first place in the two year old maiden race Saturday, with a time of 15.13. Okie Jet Moore, owned by Kay Keck and ridden rid-den by Powell placed second. Pleasant Arrival owned by Woerman and ridden by Anderson, placed second. Real Big Red, owned by Colleen Thacker and ridden by Feragon, captured cap-tured first place in the 3 year old non-winners non-winners maiden 270 yard race and Ashley Valley Salley, owned by Boyd and Dora Firth and ridden by Firth, netted second place. Christmas, owned by Gerald Wilkinson and ridden by Mike Anderson, garnered third place. Fires Comet, owned by Bob May and ridden by Anderson, recorded a time of 14.63 for first place in the 4 year old and up 270 yard allowance race and Pal & Pal, owned by Dick Kier and ridden by Adams, placed second.
