Show Xi Alpha Xi Xi Alpha Xi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority held their second meeting of the month Monday, April 18 at the home of Doris Kindt. The opening ritual was given with 11 members present and 4 excused. President Opal Orr presided over the meeting. A report was given on the Beta music; Boyd Redden, dance; David Rust, art; Central - Jane Ramsey, music; Linda Geise, dance; Charles Gamble, art. Discovery - Fran Emery, music; Kathy Lyne Jones, dance; JoAnn Hardy, art. Learning Center - Garlyn Saupe, art. Maeser - Doris Morrill, music & dance; Nila Kay Richards, art. Naples - Kristy Sullivan, music; Linda Dwight, dance ; Debbie Moatz, art. Todd - Aaron Hansen, music; Venita Taveapont, dance and Charles Murphy, art. The Festival Planning Committee is composed of Shirley Gardiner, Fran Emery, Ramond Peterson, Garlyn Saupe, Deborah Blow, Kent VanLeeuwen, Dan Praeuner, Jane Ramsey, Jeanne Erickson, Doris Morrill, Mor-rill, Len Gotfredson and Rhoda DeVed. Sigma Phi state convention to be held in Vernal in June. Sherry Williams presented the cultural program entitled, "Lively Arts: The Fabulous Flicks and Theater." Sherry presented the history of the Vernal Theater which she obtained through oral history, library and museum research and Vernal Express articles. Refreshments were served by the hostess. The door prize was won by honorary member, Margaret Franke. The next chapter meeting will be held Monday, May 2 at the home of Donna Roberts. |
