The session times are as follows: Thursday, 2:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. ; Friday, 1 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and Saturday, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Utes are the defending state champions and they have won the state title in 12 of the past 13 years and have won a total of 14 state crowns. Brown, Smuin and Good placed second in the 1980 state meet and Reynolds netted first place in 1979. Uintah's Brown, Region 7 second place, will take on Vince Kanagae, South, Region 5 third place in the first round. A win by Brown will place him in a second round contest against Don Jenkins, Springville, Region 6-2 first place, or Chet Cloward, Davis, Region 4 third place. David Vialpando of Cyprus is in the lower division with Brown and Chris Hansen, Viewmont, Region 5 first place, Doran Lytle, Provo, Region 6-1 first place, and Jim Smoot, Box Elder, Region 4 first place, are in the upper division. The Utes' Gentry, Region 7 first place, will take on Trent Overton, Woods Cross, Region 5 third place, in the first round. A win by Gentry will place him in a second round match against Aaron Sherod, Pleasant Grove, Region 6-1 first place, or Mike Holman, Payson, Region 6-2 third place.
