Show UHS graduate is number three scorer Larry McKinney, a 1976 Uintah High School graduate, was the number three scorer in Boise State's 44 to 39 victory t over the Weber State Wildcats In Ogdon last week. McKinney fired in ten points and had four rebounds. McKinney hit 5 out of 9 field goal tries and was 0 for 1 from the foul line. Derek Anderson scored 14 points and Eric Bailey popped in 12 counters for Boise State. Boise Stale had an eight point lead of 30 to 22 at halftime and blazed the hoop with a 75 percent performance from the field in the first half. Boise State finished at Tll percent for the game. Weber State rallied in the second half to take a lead of 39 to 311 on eight points by Royal Edwards and two points by Gerald Maltinson. Edward stole the hall and scored on a layup, which cut Boise Stale's lead to one point, 311 10 37. A field goal by Maltinson gave Wclior Slate a 39 to 38 lend wiu, 7:3n remaining. The points by Maltinson were the final Weber Stale points of the contest as the Wildcats dried up in Ihp scoring ' department and Bailey fired In two field goals and Kevin Itoss scored on n layup to deliver n 41 to 39 victory to Boise Slate. |
