Show Current Topics Club holds Feb. 4 meeting Current Topics Club was held at the home of Isla Swain the evening of Feb. 4 with 18 members attending. Marjorie Sowards assisted as co-hostess and a delicious George Washington cherry dessert was served. The program was organized by Isla Swain who brought to the club an interesting in-teresting and new experience from the Readers Theatre. The production was titled "The House of Many Rooms," ' and leading roles were read by Merle Siddoway, Florence Williams, and Yvonne Millecam as Cathrine Campbell Camp-bell (the mamma), David William Woodrow (the pappa), and Prilla Lou (their daughter). 15 other talented ladies were chosen to read the dialogues of the other relations, spouses, and neighbors. It was a fun and new experience and followed with raves and applause by all who participated. par-ticipated. Florence Williams gave the Current Topic which was an article take from the Vernal Express newspaper dated Dec. 22, 1916, describing the need for a first class, $6,000 community-owned hospital to be built for the town of Vernal. Dode Rolfe will have the next club meeting at ther home on Feb. 18 with Velma Erickson as co-hostess. |
