Back to School Days begin Aug. 3 The Back to School "Remember the Main Saie-a-bralion" is set for August 3 and 4. Discovery Day is slated for August 17. This will be the 70th anniversary of Dr. Earl Douglas' discovery at the Dinosaur National Monument. Monu-ment. Special programs and talks will be scheduled. schedul-ed. The 70th person who enters the Dinosaur National Na-tional Monument on August 17 will receive special prizes. Vernal merchants will tie in Back-to-School sales with Discovery Day. Vernal's Chamber of Commerce will stage a countdown to the day the new Main Street is opened. open-ed. Contests will be held to guess the day the street will open. When the street opens a ceremony will be held to change Construe- ' tion Boulevard to Main Street. Mike Perry of the Dinosaur Gardens Committee Com-mittee remarked that they are planning a Dinosaur Day celebration in September, which will be a fund raising event for the gardens. There will be an auction and a barbecue.
