Show "S '$'4f EDWIN WESTWOOD drowning drown-ing victim. Services honor drowning victim Funeral services were held Thursday of last week at noon in the Vernal 8th ' Ward Chapel for Edwin Westwood, 50. He was discovered drown in East Park Reservoir July 16. Bishop Gary B. Taylor officiated 'and read the obituary. Family prayer was by Robert Westwood with prelude and postlude music by Mary Schaefer-meyer. Schaefer-meyer. Opening musical was, "In the Garden," sung by Rosalei Mott and Kristy Sullivan accompanied by Mrs. Schaefermeyer. Doyle Landon gave the invocation. Speakers were Arthur Schaefermeyer Schaefer-meyer and Bishop Sheldon Spencer. Musical numbers were "Take Me Home Country Road" by Daun White and Dorothy Peltier accompanied by Melba Eaton and, "Oh My Father," by Mrs. Mott and Kristy Sullivan, Harley Hales, Robyn Schaefermeyer accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Schaefermeyer. Robert Janes pronounced the benediction. Interment was in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary. Military rites were by the American Legion. Ned Hansen gave the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Lon Snow, Craig Monk, Ralph Orton, Everett Billings, Gordon Estes and Gordon Ousley. Ned Dennison, Albert Curia, Jay Curtis and Sam Scott served as honorary pallbearers. Vernal Eighth Ward Relief Society were in charge of the floral tributes. Edwin (Bud) Lamont Westwood was born August 19, 1928 in Columbia, Utah son of Ephriam J. Westwood and Lillian Peterson Westwood; married Delia Hansen May 2, 1959 in Vernal; was Field Service Supervisor for Wheeler Machinery in Vernal; veteran of Korean War; member of Jensen Post of American Legion ; member of Vernal ' Eighth Ward. Survivors : widow of Vernal ; sons and daughters: Mrs. Delbert (Wilma) Calkins, Edmond D., Bruce D. all of Salt Lake City; John G., Sidwell, Clifford L. Westwood, Lesia D. West-wood, West-wood, two grandchildren and mother all of Vernal; one sister-in-law, Edith Westwood, Vernal and a brother-in-law Ernie Tolson of Salt Lake City. |
