Fran Price smiles as she accepts airline tickets for two to Las Vegas from Larry Ashton, computer opera, tions manager for Ashton Brothers. Ashton employee awarded trip to Las Vegas An all-expense paid trip for two, three days and two nights plus airfare was the prize awarded to Francis Price, employee at Ashton Brothers Co. last week. She and her husband, John, will leave Vernal around the middle of August for their vacation. Mrs. Price received the honors at the annual Ashton picnic held July 14. "It was really a surprise to Fran and everyone else," said Larry Ashton, Computer operations Manager for Ashtons. She received this honor by being selected by her piers. The contest was started in April as a morale building effort. Each pay period, every two weeks, each employee's envelope would contain a ballot on which six categories were listed: The employees would mark their ballots on who they felt had been the most courteous to customers, got along with fellow employees, and other categories ' to help us select the most deserving of the award. It was amazing how often Fran's name came up in the 3500 we counted. We are planning more morale building contests for the future said Mr. Ashton. Mrs, Price has been with Ashtons for five years, first in the gr? department and then transferrdt: yardage department. She and John are parents of : - children, three sons and one daugh |
