Show Gary Huber helps CEU in win over Ricks Former Uintah High School cage star, Gary Huber, was the third leading scorer in the College of Eastern Utah's 68 to 66 win over Ricks College, Friday in Price. The win improves CEU's record to 7-3 and gives them a 1-0 record in the Intermountain College Athletic Conference. The top scorer in the game for CEU was Kevin Miller with 18 points. Bryant Henrie popped in 15 points. The Eagles' top scorer in most of the past games, Art Robinson, put in 8 points. Also scoring counters were: Bob Burge, 3; Kelly Newbold. 3; Paul Gasque, 2 and Geno Lucero, 1. The Eagles put in 31 V field goals and connected on 6 out of the 13 free throws. Huber tossed in five field goals. A late second half rally by the CEU squad gave the Eagles a two-point win. Ricks led throughout the game and had a lead of 10 points during parts of the game. Bryan Henrie, a Mesa College transfer who played for Richfield High School, put in three straight baskets for a 64 to 63 Eagle lead with 3: 20 left in the game. Kevin Miller and Art Robinson fired in CEU's final two buckets and Ricks put in only three more points after losing the lead. |
