Show DAISY G BELCHER Belcher services held Dec. 17 Daisy G. Belcher, who died Thursday, Thurs-day, Dec. 13, was honored by funeral services Dec. 17 in the Vernal Ninth Ward chapel. Bishop Roland W. Hein conducted the services and Dorothy Peltier and Duan White accompanied by Melva Eaton sang two musical selections. Ken Sowards and DeArmon Batty honored her with remarks during the funeral and Frank Maygren gave the benediction. Mrs. Belcher was born Feb. 24, 1908 in Scofield, Utah to John Lux and Annie Davies. She married Edward Warren Belcher Jan. 17, 1927. She was co-owner of the 7-11 Cafe, served an Indian (Ute) mission with her husband, was a Relief Society visiting teacher and Cub Scout Den Mother. Her daughter, Mrs. Adoree B. Mc-Carrel Mc-Carrel preceeded her in death. Mrs. Belcher died in the Utah Valley Hospital, Provo alter a long illness. She was buried in the Vernal Memorial Park and Alvin Bowden dedicated the grave. Pall bearers were Paul Howard. Bill Bynum. Bryant Riddle, Rid-dle, Jim Sperry, Aubrey McCarrel and Jerry Pope. She is survived by Curg W. Belcher, son: Edward Warren Belcher, husband; hus-band; Mrs. Paul ( Bonnie) Howard, daughter; Mrs. Bill (Patsy) Bynum. daughter: Mrs. Jerry i Connie) Pope, all from Vernal; Mrs. Bryant i Lana ) Riddle, daughter from Orem, UT; Mrs. James (Dixie) Sperry, daughter from N'ephi. UT; 21 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and Thomas Lux. brother from Springville. UT. |
