Show k 7 .,7' . CHARLIE DAVID SLAUGH Charlie Slaugh dies at home Charlie David Slaugh died Monday, Dec. 17 at his home in Vernal, 4318 South 1500 East. He was born March 9, 1899, in Vernal to Benjamin Croft Slaugh and Rachel Smuin. He married Rena Postma July 1, 1922. He was a member of the Davis First Ward, managed the church welfare farm and was over the welfare program. He worked as a freighter for many years and freighted from Dragon and Watson to Vernal. He was preceeded in death by a son, Earl Slaugh, and two sisters, Cora Cook and Ellen Mary Slaugh. He is survived by his widow, six sons, Royal B., Clayton J., Darrel C, Lynn, Neldon R., all from Vernal, and Dean from Garden Grove, CA. He is also survived by three brothers and four sisters; Ben Slaugh, Mrs. Ivv Holmes. Hyrum Slaugh, Mrs. Leonard (Cynthia) Cook, Lyle Slaugh, Mrs. Robert (Rosie) Cook, and Mrs. Joe (Kate) Lopez, all from Vernal. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Davis First Ward Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Vernal Mortuary. 789-2611. |
