(Photo by Alvin Reiner) Air Force Medics Visit, Work in Southeast Utah By Alvin Reiner A contingent of twenty Air Force Reserve Medics spent a week in the southern half of San Juan County giving complete physical examinations examina-tions to the Headstart and elementary school children in the area. The medics from the Salt Lake City area, who generally are responsible for giving, medical exams, and immunizations immuni-zations to jet pilots, examined over 700 youngsters in the communities fo Anethr Bluff, Mexican Hat and Montezuma Creek. Three medical doctors and a dentist, all A.F. Reserve officers, along with the medics from all walks of life, were spending their summer camp picking up undetected medical problems among the youngsters. young-sters. This was the first year of the program which was called "super-rewarding" by those who participated. |
