Show Moab Fifth Grader Big $100 Winner A Moab fifth-grade student did her homework right this week, and for her reward she receives the entire pot of $100 in Bonus Bucks in the big Times-Independent Mystery Personality contest. Carol, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen C. Holyoak, correctly identified the Mystery Personality as D. L. Taylor, and she also listed the nine clues in the Mystery Personality page and hidden in ads of participating merchants. Leah Ellis, who drew the winning entry, commented while looking through a few of the other entries later, that we had fooled some readers by using so few clues this week. That's what we intended to do, but we didn't fool Carol (or the other members of her family who had also entered the contest.). Next week the prize will go back to the basic $10 in Bonus Bucks for the first entry drawn which correctly identifies the Mystery Personality, plus an additional $30 in Bonus Bucks for listing all the clues for the week, but no more. The rules for entering the contest are on the Mystery Personality page. All you need to do to enter is study the page and any other ads in the paper placed by participating merchants. Clues on the identity of the Mystery Personality of the week will be hidden in these ads. Drop your entries in boxes located in the businesses of nine participating merchants mer-chants which appear in the far left column of the page. If you don't enter, you can't win! Here are the clues for last week's contest: County Commissioner, Lucille's; Republican, Sprouse Reitz; Cattleman, Custom Craft; Fisher Valley Ranch, Fabric House; Grand County Booster, Moab Lumber; Civic Leader, E & E Sports Center; Lame Duck, Sprouse Reitz; Western Dress, Lucille's; Rancher, Sprouse Reitz. |
