Herewith is a listing of these areas and the general conditions accompanying the opening: All tributaries entering Flaming Gorge between the Reservoir and Highway 44 (except that reach of Cart Creek above Speirs Peak Creek) opened for fishing July 1 and will remain open through September 30. Current Cur-rent water conditions are fair. The Strawberry River from Soldier Creek Dam downstream down-stream to its confluence with Red Creek opens for fishing July 15 and remains open through September 15. The fishing and water prospects look good. The West Fork of the Duchesne River and all tributaries tribu-taries leading to Strawberry Reservoir opened on July 1. The water is relatively low but fishing is expected to remain fair. Bear Lake's Swan Creek and adjacent Swan Creek Bay will open July 15 and will be open until the close of the general fishing season. Extremely Ex-tremely low water conditions already prevail. The Current Creek drainage drain-age from Highway 40 to the source also opened for fishing on July 1. The water level is low with some moss problems, but the fishing should remain good. Red Creek Lake and the creek leading into the lake opened on July 1. Water conditions there are low. Calders Lake on Diamond Mountain north of Vernal opened July 1. Fishing is excellent in the small lake located about one mile west of Crouse Reservoir. Water level is currently stable. The Strawberry River from the Strawberry Dam downstream down-stream to Soldier Creek is again open to fishing. Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is urging anglers to check the proclamation for specific boundaries on these and other fishing areas with special regulations. |
