Show Trailer caravan arrives for visit Hy 1.1 KuKKri A nroiip f 27 Airstrcam Trailors, led by Gene und Ruth KoiiUer, known as the "National Curavnn" arrived in Moab Tuesday, beginning a four day stay with tours to Canyonlands, Arches National Park, and bout trips. They are members of the Wully Ityam Caravan International. The group of travelers met for a national rally in Itig Sky, Montana, over the Fourth of July weekend. A total of 3,949 Airstream trailors met for the occasion before splitting up into seperule caravans. Most caravans are as large as 300 trailors, and unlike this small- er caravan visiting Moab and staying in camp parks, stay in open fields and fairgrounds. Cecil and Vera Fenton from Springfield, III., one couple traveling with the caravan visiting Moab, said the 'National 'Na-tional Caravan" was a "way of life project" started by Wally Byam. "Wally Byam's theory is to spread good will on a person to person bases," commented com-mented Vera Fenton, "and that was the originating idea." The caravan began their 24 day trip from Big Sky, Montana, Mon-tana, traveled down through Arco, Idaho and then to Salt Lake City. After their stay in Moab, the caravanners will be on the road again, planning stops in Colorado, including Grand Junction, Montrose, Durango, Monte Vista, and on to Canon City. . The final stop will be Monu ment, Colorado, before the group will dissolve and return to their homes. A banquet for the caravans will be held July 28th at the Air Force Academy's Aca-demy's Officers Club. "See you down the road," will be the salutation as all head for home. fr - - - . -w-.:.,-.
