Show Building continues brisk in Moab and Grand Larry Brundage, city county building inspector, reports 68 building permits have been issued in the past three month period. Total value of construction in the county during the quarter equals $715,455.42, with more than half of that authorized in . the month of June. Compared with figures from the first quarter, construction was down, April being the slowest month. Twenty-one permits were authorized for residence and improvements to existing residence construction, 5 commercial com-mercial permits, and 3 miscellaneous during the month of June. Total value was $397,691.42; and $118,050.00 commercial, com-mercial, $233,641.42 residence and, improvements to existing residence, and the remaining $46,000.00 miscellaneous. May had the least number of permits authorized during the quarter, although the value of construction was higher than that in April. Only 19 permits were issued, valuing $209,274.00. Two permits were authorized for commercial construction construc-tion totalling $16,500.00, 17 for residence and improvements to existing residence, valuing $192,774.00. April construction valued $108,490.00, with 20 permits issued. $94,390.00 was spent for residence and improvements. That amount covered 14 permits. Commercial building amounted to only $3,700.00, although 4 permits were authorized. Two miscellaneous permits valuing $10,400.00 were also issued. First Quarter During the first quarter, 88 permits were authorized valuing $1,292,670.00, compared with the 68 permits authorized during the second quarter. March had the highest value of construction of the year with $617,225.00; 29 residence and improvement permits equalling $593,100.00 and 4 commercial permits valuing $24,125.00. Construction during February was also high with 34 permits totalling $374,100.00. Four of those were commercial permits and 29 residence and improvement permits. The value breakdown break-down was $53,000.00 and $321,100.00. January construction equalled $301,345.00. Twenty-one permits were authorized; 16 residence and Improvements Improve-ments to existing residence worth $263,445.00 and 5 commercial valuing $37,900.00. |
