Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be re- . ceived by the State Road Commission of Utah, Room 608 State Office Building, Salt Lake City, Utah until 2 o'clock o'-clock p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 1972, and at that time publicly pub-licly opened for construction of A Bituminous Surfaced Roadway and One 3-Span Prestressed Concrete Beam Structure 345' O. to O. in Grand County, the same being be-ing that section of Interstate Highway No. 70 from Yel-lowcat Yel-lowcat to Whitehouse identified identi-fied as Federal Aid Project No. 1-70-4(12)194. The length of road to be constructed or improved is 11.316 miles, and the princi-pal princi-pal items of work are approximately ap-proximately as follows: 10,-87o 10,-87o Tons of Bituminous Material. Ma-terial. 12.900 Tons of Hy- drated Lime, 133,00 Tons cf Bituminous Surface Course (34" Maximum) and 2,070,-000 2,070,-000 Cu. Yds., of Roadway Excavation. The project is to be completed in 320 working days. Prequalification of bidders is required. Prior to any bidder's bid-der's receiving plans and specifications, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and approved, the required Prequification Statement State-ment pertaining to contractor's contrac-tor's experience and financial finan-cial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Pro-" Pro-" visions covering "subletting " the contract. In conformity with the Federal-aid Highway Act of 1968 the U. S. Department of Labor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Commission has teen advised ad-vised by the Wage and Hour Division, U. S. Department o! Labor, that contractors engaged en-gaged ir. highway construction construc-tion work are required t meet the proviHions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1933, (52- Stat. 1060). The State Highway Department, Depart-ment, in accordance with the provisions cf Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ( 73 Stat. 252) and the Regulations Regula-tions of the Department of Commerce (15 C.F.R., Part 8), issued pursuant te such Act, hereby" notifies all bidders bid-ders that it will affirmatively , insure that the contract en-ered en-ered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded award-ed to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination discrimina-tion on the ground of race, color, or national origin. Proposal forms, plans, and specifications ae on file in the office of- the State Road Commission. Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer at Price, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifica-fluns, Specifica-fluns, proposal . forms, and plans may be obtained only at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application appli-cation and payment of a fee of $20.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety eompany on forms provided by the Commission; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified cer-tified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5 of the total amount of the bid made payable to the State Road Commission, as evidence evi-dence of good faith and a ' guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish fur-nish the contract bonds as required.
