Show good news from Donohoo Some of the best news we've heard in quite some time came across our desk this week in the form of a statement by former Moabitc II. V. W. Donohoo, head of the Ajjjriculiiire division of Texas Gulf Sulphur Company. Com-pany. Donohoo stated in the November issue of Farm Chemicals and Crop Life magazine, "Since we have been in the fertilizer business, we have had some hard times, and we expect more hard times and periods of marginal profits. But we're convinced this is a good business bus-iness to be in, and we're in it for the long pull." I The Company's Cane Creek operation here in Mo ab has heen one of those hard times but with the. introduction intro-duction of solution mining here the company hopes that it will soon begin to sec some profits from the operation. This statement quells ihe rumours which have been spread during all the years of TGS' operation here that the company would pull out if the going got too rough. We're glad to hear that things are beginning to look up and that I he local operations may, in the future prove to be more than just a thorn in the side of the company. New techniques and new methods of combining the company's potash and phosphate seems to be headed for greater success and more profit. We feel that the presence pres-ence of the company has and will continue to be a great boost to the economy of our area and we wish them well in their new process. - |
