Show NEW RULE IN CASES FOR NONJURY TRIAL Presiding Judge M. L. Ritchie of the Third district court announced today that all cases that come to issue during the week will be set for nonjury trial each Haturday at t 45 a. m. The order goee into effect February t. Casea Will be set whether the parties par-ties appear or not. Judge Ritchie announced. an-nounced. A jury trial may be demanded demand-ed In any case complying with the statute by paying the fee on any date within two weeks after the date of setting, the order said. Other provisions provi-sions were ss follows: Applications to change the date may be made any Saturday Sat-urday thereafter on twenty-four hours' notice; all subsequent settlnge or chsnges will be made only on notice; no-tice; it is deemed that the party filing an answer and the one on whom It is served will have sufficient notice when the practice Is understood from the fact of serving and filing such answer. |
