Show Upswing Noted ' For Flu Cycle The state board of health reported re-ported Tuesday that Utah is near-ing near-ing the upswing of, an Influenza cycle, with 296 new cases recorded record-ed In the last week. Dr. William M. McKay, acting commissioner, said the form of the disease now prevalent throughout through-out the state appeared to be highly Infectious, and advised all persons to avoid contact with cold sufferers suffer-ers or others who might be car-riers car-riers of the germ. "It is important that this caution cau-tion be observed," he said, "not J only for protection of the lndi- j vidual but to safeguard groups. At ( the first sign of infection, the sufferer should remain isolated , from offices, theaters, church i meetings, schools or other gather- j ings. - "Surveys have shown that one ; worker afflicted with influenza will affect three-fourths of his fellow , workers, while a single child often spreads the disease to the majority of children In a schoolroom, bus, Sunday school class or theater," ; Dr. McKay said.
