Show STATE OUTLINES ROADPOLICIES Improvement and rebuilding of heavily-traveled highway arteries near centers of population will be part of the general policy of the state road commission in the future, fu-ture, W. D. Hammond, chairman of the commission, had announced Tuesday. The announcement followed a conference of the commission Monday with representatives of the Salt Lake City chamber of commerce, who renewed a plea that more road commission funds be spent in Salt Lake, county and In other populous centers of the state. Spokesmen for the group were Sidney C. Fuld, chairman of the chamber's highway committee; F. H. Richardson, member, and Wil-lard Wil-lard Richards, member of the board of, governors. It was explained the chamber places on the top of the list of necessary nec-essary projects the widening of U. S. 81 from Spanish Fork to Brig-ham Brig-ham City to a four-lane highway.
