Representatives of conference schools Instructed a committee com-mittee yesterday to Investigate the proposal further and report on it again next year. Meanwhile, Herb Dana will continue as commissioner of football officials. Edwin N. Atherton, former federal agent who investigated San Francisco Fran-cisco police graft, was mentioned as a candidate for athletic "csar" or as an Investigator of conditions I within the conference. Ken Priestley of California, retiring retir-ing president of the Graduate Managers' Man-agers' association, disclosed the possibility pos-sibility of conference athletes again participating in the I. C. A. A. A. A. track and field meet in the east if it be held in June instead of May. Teams from this section have not been entered the last two years because be-cause of conflicting dates. Indefinite continuance of the present round-robin football schedule sched-ule in which the eight active members mem-bers play each other was assured. |
