Show Deal of 4Big Three' to Sell United Artists Falls Through HOLLYWOOD, Dec. (UP) There were reports today of new activity by the one-time "Big Three" of silent movies. Mary Pick-ford, Pick-ford, Douglas Fairbanks and Charlie Chaplin, after the collapse of a $6,000,000 deal whereby they planned to quit United Artists cor- poration. Producers Samuel Goldwyn of Hollywood and Alexander Korda of London had planned to buy the Pick ford, Fairbanks and Chaplin Chap-lin holdings in United Artists. .
