Show ' CATHOLIC FETE OPENING HEARS i PRICE With the Right Rev. Duane G. Hunt, D. D. bishop of the Salt Lake Catholic diocese, scheduled as the principal speaker, the three-day Carbon county Catholic Cath-olic carnival will start Thursday at 6:30 p. m. with a civil banquet in the Silver Moon halL The formal opening of ovsr 20 booths where srticles will be sold and games conducted will take place at p. m. The hall will open Frl- day at 2 p. m. and turkeys will be given sway as attendance prizes. Features of the Saturday afternoon after-noon program will be a pet show at 2 p. m. and a costume party at p. m. Five prises will be given in the first event and awards will be made for the prettiest, most original origi-nal and funniest costumes. Crowning of the carnival queen will be the highlight of the closing bsll Saturday evening. Thirteen candidates from various parts of the county are in the race for the queenship. Proceeds of the carnival, which Is the seventh sponsored by the Notre Dame ds Lourdes church, will be for the benefit of the Notre Dsme school. |
