Blood r Governor and Mayor Assist At Ceremonies of Sea Scouts Ied the more than 29 awards. Concluding the event, a dance was held in the hotel's ballroom. Awards earned during the past year were presented at the Salt Lake council Sea Scouts bridge of honor in the Hotel Utah Wednesday at t p. nt. Among the more than 400 persona present at the ceermonles were Governor Gov-ernor Henry H. Blood and Mayor E. B. Erwln. . Governor Blood, an honorary commodore, com-modore, awarded James Hewes, able bodied seaman of the flagship Stans-bury, Stans-bury, a long cruise badge for hia trip to Alaska on the M. S. Stranger. Mayor Erwln gave a brief address, ad-dress, telling how he waa Impressed with the progress they are making and lauding the fine manner In which the ceremony was conducted. Frank Scott of the ship Bonneville Bonne-ville was awarded the highest Sea Scout ranking in the council that of bos'un. The ship Stansbury, commanded by Stanley Evans, was selected as flagship of ths council's fleet of six ships. Selection of the flagship was made because of the outstanding morale, uniforms.
