The Garfield Water company is Incorporated In-corporated for $300,000. and is to engage in a general water business. The principal prin-cipal place of business is New York City. The officers of he corporation are John A. Keppelman, president, and Boss A. Mackey. secretary. The stockholders stock-holders are John A. Keppelman, Gilbert H. Montague. Nlel A. Weathers. Millard Mil-lard C. Humstome, Mason Trowbridge, William A. Parker, and Ross A. Mackey, Mack-ey, all Eastern capitalists. Improvement Company. The Garfield Improvement company Is Incorporated for $200,000, and the object ob-ject of Its incorporation is to engage in a general business, buying and selling store, dwellings, shops, warehouses, mills and factories, using and disposing of roads and streets, providing ice, water, wa-ter, light, and heat, and other businesses busi-nesses in connection with the building of a town. The principal place of business is at New York City. The stockholders and officers are the same as those of the water company. ' The advent of the great enterprise at Garfield which will add thousands of dollars more wealth 'to Utah was made evident this morning by the fliing of articles of incorporation for three new concerns that will do business at that place. The big smelter, which Is under the control of Guggenheim Bros, of New York City, was incorporated this morning, Ming papers with Secretary of State Tingey and County Clerk Kl-dredge. Kl-dredge. The combined capital of the three companies Is $1,300,000. The Sliver Lakes Mines company filed its articles, changing its name to Garfield Gar-field Smelting company. ' The by-laws were also filed. The company is Incorporated Incor-porated for $1,000,000 which Is an increase in-crease in the capital stock of $900,000. The stock Is divided into shares of a par value of $100 each. Office at Jersey City. The prlncioal office of the corporation corpora-tion at 15 Exchange place, Jersey City. N. J., and Charles W. Whitley is named as the local agent. He is also the agent for the other two companies. The Smelttr company has as Its purpose pur-pose a general smelting and mining business and is allowed to own mines, conduct railroads, steamships and steamship lines. telegraph and telephone, tele-phone, canals, and light and power "hints. the stockholders in the company are G.
