Show ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES PREVALENT AT VENICE. NEW YORK. Nov. 17 A cal.le dispatch to the Herald from Venice says: Abnormally high tides are prevailing here. During the last two davs thev lime raised the water level to such a degree that the Piazza San Marco is partlallv inundated, cutting off access to the church. The water is so high that steamboats cannot pass under the hrldges. Traffic has been suspended In the low-lying parts of the city, which are now under water. High wind, with rain, has contributed to the existing conditions. |
