Show RAILROAD REBATE CASES ARE BEGUN KANSAS CITY, Nov. 17. A healing of the railroad rebate cases brought by the Federal Government in March, IK1!', upon behalf of thi Federal Government against the Atchison, Topeka. & Santa Fe railway, rail-way, the Chicago. Burlington & Qulncy, the Missouri Pacific ami the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific, was begun hero today to-day in the I'nlted Slates Ihstrlct court before Judge John F. Phillips. The arguments upon behalf of the Government Gov-ernment were presented by Milton P. Purdy. Assistant I'nited .States Attorney-General, Attorney-General, and A. H. Van Valkeribiirgh. I'nited States Idstrict Attorney for the western district of Missouri. Gardiner I.athrop of Chicago, chief counsel of the. Santa Fe. and JudKe O. M. Spencer of St. Joseph, chief counsel of the Burlington, represented those railway companies. |
