SHAFT HONORS UTAH PIONEERS Monument on Ensign Peak Dedicated Stones Have Histo Historic i Interest Built of ston stones having historic value an foot monument Friday Fri day stood on Ensign peak dedicated to Utah pioneers Dedication services were conducted Thursday evening at the base unique shaft by the Ensign stake Mutual Improvement association and the Utah Pioneer Trails Trail and arid Landmarks Landmarks Land Land- marks association which cooperated in its building The Rev John E. E Carver of Ogden Ogden Og Og- den the principal speaker depicted the early settlers as people of strong character and high principles wl who o came to this valley to build homes Other speakers were Heber J. J Grant president of the L L. D D. S S. S church A A. W. W Iv Ivins D. D his first counselor George Albert Smith president of the trails association M M. J.
