J Cecil Alter chief of the local weather bureau who forecast fair and cooler weather for Salt Lake City and northwestern Utah The high minimum Friday morning was caused according to Mr Alter by a continued eastern wind through canyons in the Wasatch range east of the city and the proximity of a low pressure area which is deepening over the southwestern United States The minimum of 73 equaled the seasonal sea sea- sonah mark established July 3 and registered again July 19
