Show FIRE ALARMS KEEP LOCAL FIREMEN BUSY The Springville fire department responded to four fires in a short period of time last week. A grass blaze was extinguished at the Clarence Hatfield home and shortly after, the department made a run to the Wm. Mower barn where damage to hay burned was estimated at $50. The department also responded to a call at the Joseph Carnesec-ca Carnesec-ca farm when their tractor caught fire, and also to a farm owned recently by TTiomas Greener in the southeast section of town when brush was set afire So far this year, the department has responded to sixteen calls, as compared to 25 during the entire en-tire year of 1945. |
