Show JAYCEES RAISE , QUOTA FOR PRESIDENT FUND The Springville Junior Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce raised in record time, their quota of $750 for the national Jaycee president fund, acording to Verl Whiting, local president, who stated Wednesday that a check for the amount is ready to be filed Every man in the Springville club, as well as every club in the state, is solidly behind Grant Thorn, Utah's first candidate for the position of national na-tional president, it was stated. Commenting on the prospects.1 of Grant's election to the na-1 tional position, local club officers pointed to the fact- that he is thirty-six this coming November, making this his last year to hold a Jaycee office because of age, while the other candidate, Seldon Waldo of Gainesville, Fla., is 31. The importance of having a Jaycee Jay-cee national president from Utah especially during the centennial year of 1947, will be brought to the attention of Jaycee organizations organiza-tions during the eleotion campaign which is under direction of Frank Pister, Ogden club president.
