Show Selvoy J. Boyer Named Mission President New Appointment Will Necessitate Changes In Church And Civic Organizations In Which Mr. and Mrs. Boyer Hold Positions Selvoy J. Boyer, mayor of Springville and bishop of the Second ward, has been appointed president of the British Mis sion, according to announcement by the church first presidency. ' Mayor and Mrs. Boyer plan to leave for the mission headquarters headquar-ters in London, England, as soon as transportation can be arranged. ar-ranged. Although Mr. and Mrs. Boyer are receiving congratulations and best wishes from townspeople, .it is with regret that the people of this city will see them leave to make their home elsewhere. Both have been especially active in civic and churoh work. Mr. Boyer was elected mayor of Springville last fall and has tendered his resignation, effective April 15. He has also been serving serv-ing as a member of the state Tax Study committee, the state defense de-fense council and as president of the Crop Improvement Association. Associa-tion. During his service as bishop of the Second ward, he has been chairman of the Kolob 'stake bishops' bish-ops' council of the welfare program. pro-gram.
