Show TMLYTIPS FROM STATE HEALTH OFFICER With spring rapidly approaching approach-ing Doctor William M. McKay, State Health Commissioner, today urged that parents take every precaution to protect their children child-ren against the possibility of acquiring ac-quiring severe colds. With the appearance of a few sunshiny days, children as well as adults are prone to lay aside their warm winter clothes, thereby there-by exposing their bodies to the cool chiling atmosphere. Chilling Chill-ing has a tendency to lower body resistance and may be followed by a cold, sore throat, or even pneumonia. Young children who are permitted permit-ted to play in the out-of-door during dur-ing this season of the year should always be dressed in light warm clothing, Dr. McCay said. |
