Show Second Play-off Game Set Here Sunday Between Springville, Provo A Winner of Three-Game Play-off Will Meet Southern Winner In Central Utah League For C. U. Title Springville's baseball nine will oppose the Provo club bore Sunday, August 15 at 4:30 p. m., in the second of a il.rw-twme nlavolf to determine the Northern winner of the Central Utah League. Springville won the first half title and Provo took the aecond half. The winner of two of the three games will meet the south winner win-ner to determine which team enters en-ters the state baseball play-off in Salt Lake City later on. In what was supposed to be the first play-off game here last Sunday between the two clubs to determine a winner, not a thing was settled since the game had to be called on account of darkness dark-ness with the score reading 6 ea. The first game following this contest con-test was -played Wed. at Provo. Provo took an early lead in the Sunday game, and lead by a 6-5 score at the beginning of the seventh inning but -the Artists tied the score in the bottom half, and with Nelson Spafford for Provo and Lennie Mackay for Springville, pitching shutout ball, the two teams battled until the close of the eleventh inning without with-out further scoring. The game was then called because of darkness. Sunday's game here promises to be another close battle and should the loser of Wednesday's contest emerge victorious in the Sunday battle, the third game of the playoff play-off would be necessary with a time and place to be determined later.
